With all the madness going on in the world today, it’s important to take time for yourself and just be. Just for a moment, forget that there’s bills to pay, chores to do, a virus to avoid. My SO and I try to meditate everyday, even for a few minutes. It’s amazing how quieting the mind can set the tone for the day.
Though the pandemic has restricted much travel, I almost forgot that we can still do so within our own state (NY). I’m looking forward to our upstate trip to Watkins Glen park – known for its beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails. It’ll feel good to be surrounded by nature again, travel and take a break from looking at screens all day. There’s much of NY that I haven’t seen, and that’s pretty exciting. Here’s to more exploration and connection to nature in a world of endless distraction.
